I had the pleasure of learning about Yoplait Greek yogurt at The Daily Front Row Style Lounge during Fashion Week. Yoplait hosted an awesome table where you could pop open a yogurt, pick your mix-ins and have a snack that’s packed with protein.

Greek with 100 calories

It was the perfect snack for Fashion Week. At only 100 calories and loaded with 14-17 grams of protein and 200 mg of calcium, per 6 oz. serving, it’s a tasty, healthy snack that will fill you up and cut your craving.

Greek Yogurt Tip #1: Replace sour cream with Greek yogurt

Greek Yogurt instead of sour cream I know it might sound weird, but I’m not suggesting Key Lime for your veggie chili. Original, plain Greek yogurt honestly tastes like sour cream, and a dollop will give you a dose of solid protein.

In this picture, I’m showing a spicy veggie chili from Chelsea Market, with a couple spoonfuls of plain Greek yogurt, and a sprinkle of cheese. If I had chives, I would have added those. Yum.

Greek Yogurt Tip #2: Get it out of the plastic tub

Greek Yogurt with granola and fruit I feel that plain yogurt works best for this one too.
1. Drizzle, sort of generously, into the bottom of a bowl, Light Agave Nectar (or honey).
2. Scoop in your yogurt, and cover the yogurt with granola.
3. Add your favorite fruit on top.
4. Lightly drizzle Agave Nectar over the fruit.

Lucky Duck has a fantas-quack recipe to share: Golden Peach Splash

Summer Peach Splash

Lucky Duck  makes dinner.

August is the season of peaches! And Lucky Duck serves peaches for dinner tonight. Mike’s traveling for work right now, and I miss him a lot. So to help keep myself busy, I decided to pull out my favorite recipe, my Summer Golden Peach Splash. Not only does it taste uh-mazing, but it’s pretty versatile. For example, you can eat it as a first course all by itself, scoop it up with tortilla chips, or put it over fish, chicken, pork, or beef.

Tonight, I made a big bowl and ate it all three ways. Below, you can see which ramekin contains the Golden Peach Splash. (The other is my heirloom tomato salad, which I’ve blogged about before.) I nibbled it all by itself, scooped it up with the chips, and ate it on the crab cake. Yum, yum, yum!

Last summer, I made this dish for a cooking contest at work, and I won! The trophy’s on my shelf, see?

If you’re up for experimenting in the kitchen, and if you’re willing to put a little faith in Lucky Duck, here’s the recipe. You can thank me later!


2 ripe, firm peaches
1/4 cup Tangerine Sauce
1 tsp. sesame oil
1 tbsp. sherry vinegar
1 tsp. cilanto chopped
1 tbsp. chives chopped
1/2 tsp. black sesame seeds
Salt and pepper


  1. Wedge peaches and place them in a serving blowl.
  2. Season with sale and fresh ground pepper.
  3. Splash with Tangerine Sauce, sesame oil, sherry vinegar, cilantro, and chives; toss gently. Garnish with black sesame seeds.

NOTE: This recipe was passed down from Metropolitan Market, who got it from Glenn Chu, owner and chef of the Indigo Restaurant located in Honolulu, Hawaii.
